The genius of the Department of Government Efficiency is that it does not exist. It has no mailing address; it appears in no budget documents. You cannot seek an injunction against it, it has no authority or mandate. And it sure gets under the skin of the left and the media. My guess is that the OPM story as well as the claims about access to the SSA files are just outright falsehoods, assumed to rev up opposition.
