I used TracFone for many years, but last summer the phone I purchased through Tracfone only a few months before died. My experience getting a replacement phone was a nightmare. They wanted me to send my old phone back and then after looking at it they would send me a replacement. That process would have taken close to two weeks leaving me with no operating phone. Customer service was based in India making it difficult to communicate with the agents. In frustration I looked at other carriers and settled on Consumer Cellular. Their customer service was US based and very helpful making the switch. I also purchased my phone through Consumer Cellular and had more options and a replacement plan not available from TracFone. So far I have been very happy with my new carrier.

Thanks.

I’m sorry your experience was poor. We have never had that problem, and our one experience with getting a new phone was seamless. Our current phones are Androids that we got from TracFone almost 8 years ago, and they’ve always worked well. Very recently they sometimes don’t hold a charge as well as they used to, but altogether it’s been a good experience.
