My wife’s father was a chef for Cunnard in the 1950s. She never learned to cook. When the kids were little their friends would stay away from our home when she baked cookies, they were that bad.
I thought this article was interesting... I am clueless on volcanoes and always assumed old volcano lava dried up rock hard like a scab underneath the surface, so count me in the “surprised catagory”. I guess old wounds either never heal fast or at all.
