I am a 69 year old fitness trainer with a resting heart rate in the athletic range and perfect blood pressure. However, without exception when I go for a check up both figures are elevated to the level of a deconditioned female in my age range. I always insist that the tech retake the tests. Somehow, magically, they are accurate the second time around.
Sorry, I think I posted the above to the wrong thread
I definitely have “White Coat Syndrome” whenever I go to the doctor and they take my BP.
You posted facts in most humourous way and got a big chuckle out of me. I will be 85 in 3 months. My resting heart rate is 66. Because I may skip meals but never skip 20 minutes of aerobic exercise everyday supplemented by yard work. I can still mow my suburban size lawn with a push mower. I am intolerant to sodium. As soon as I cook from scratch a few days, my BP drops to 120/80. Restaurant meals & prepared frozen foods jack it up to 145/90. One more thing, I can tell when BP is high or blood sugar is high. Body gives plenty signals, we just have to pay attention.
