President Trump’s nominees for Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Director of the FBI will be facing confirmation hearings in the U.S. Senate this week.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to face sharp questioning over his nomination to head the Dept. of Health & Human Services because of his skepticism toward the effectiveness of the federal food and medicine regulatory apparatus.
In particular, large numbers of employees of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have been preparing their letters of resignation for the past two months and say they will quit if RFK Jr. is confirmed as HHS Secretary.
Jessica Malaty Rivera is an advisor with the Debeaumont Foundation, she says she’s aware of “multiple employees” with agencies like the CDC who she says, “They refuse to work for this administration,” she says. “I understand it, but it’s terrifying. Because we don’t want to be in the position where everyone working at these agencies is anti-medicine, anti-science.”
As Secretary of HHS, Kennedy would have broad authority to oversee the operations of the CDC, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Food and Drug Administration.
Kennedy has faced criticism over his concerns regarding vaccine safety and for his book “The Real Anthony Fauci” which tracks the career path of the man who became the public face of the federal Covid response.
However, Kennedy has also attracted support from former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield who has recently partnered with him on evaluating the efficacy and safety of vaccines.
The threat of potentially hundreds of CDC employees quitting their jobs underscores the seriousness with which the Trump administration is going about correcting the mistakes of the previous administration.
Not to in any way endorse the whole package that is RFK2, but he is a Disruptor in a system that has been fundamentally perverted, so I’d call it a twofer and buy the next round.
That entire interview was amazing.
If only the press had been remotely as hard on Biden/Harris, as there are on JD the last 4 years would never have happened.
JD Absolutely owned that interview, Brennan was completely out of her league... The “I Really don’t care” line was just icing on the cake.

Bye bye.
And the trash takes itself out. Win-win.
I’m not seeing a downside to this...
Good. Here, let us show you the door.
Fire them all.
Oh oh, sounds like we got some four girls at the contest thinking they tens.
Well ….. BYE!
In particular, large numbers of employees of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have been preparing their letters of resignation

aka
” get while the gettin’s good “
you would almost think they wete all absconding
.
These threats to quit are ... WONDERFUL. Hopefully they’re promises more than they’re threats. They still don’t get that we don’t WANT them there.
Good riddance. I will never trust them again after they politicized COVID.
As in Bejeweled... GOOD, EXCELLENT, INCREDIBLE, AWESOME, FANTASTIC, SPECTACULAR, EXTRAORDINARY
Sounds good to me...
Well, we are trying to cut the Federal work force. 😉
Good if they do quit. All the Federal agencies need some new blood.
I don't see the problem in having fewer federal employees.
Empty threats. They won’t walk away from cushy jobs and benefits.
Sweet! Double winning!
