The main “scientists” denying the lab leak were those that we later found out funded the work in China. They lied to protect themselves. They also failed to oversee the laboratory ratings where the work was conducted. Doing such work in a lab little better than an open benchtop almost guarantees a lab leak. I do not believe the “leak” was on purpose since China had no reason to release a plague on their own country. I do believe that once the leak occurred they made sure it spread across the world so they would not be the only ones impacted.

The Chinese need to lose about 2/3 of a billion people, so it wouldn’t shock me to discover that the leak was intentional.
