Mitch McConnell just voted NO on President Trump’s secretary of defense nominee

This led to VP Vance having to rush down to cast a tie-breaking vote, only the 2nd such vote in U.S. history

As Republican Senators gather around to congratulate Vance, notice McConnell walk over and SHAKE HANDS with the Democrats

If you thought RFK Jr and Tulsi was going to be easy—think again.

The GOP Establishment isn’t going down without a fight.

Reminds me of Boone Pickens. I believe he was grabbing for more water rights, control and money the day he died. For some enough is never enough. It is an obsession that controls them. Some say these obsessions are what make us great and achieve more as individuals and as a nation. They applaud the restless spirit and all that. I would not say against that but when is enough enough?. It has been said that I am never satisfied unless I am building something. I am slowing down some as I get older but I still have a notebook full of scribbled plans not done and shops and farm full of unfinished projects. If I don’t get something done before I die, oh well for many things. I just can’t understand the obsession with more money, power and things when one already has much more than he can ever consume or spend in his time left. I would say if you really must do something , do it for someone else but I’m feeling a lot less generous after a lifetime of seeing people make little of what they don’t earn.

Gabbard may be toughest of all to get confirmed. Control of the shadows is critical to the swamp. If she is not a turn coat she has the moxy to turn them on their heads. I think she does have the anger for it.

It reminds me of the funeral scene in The Godfather, when Tessio is shaking hands with Barzini and that's when Michael knows it's Tessio who's betraying him.

“He’ll have to keel over to leave any sooner.”

McCain got off his deathbed to vote for obamacare, Mitch will try to vote after he keels over.

Mitch McConnell is the chairman of the United States Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense. He's going to be in charge of the appropriations to the Defense Department.

That's why McConnell voted No, to send Hegseth a message that anything he wants to do in the Defense Department will have to go through McConnell to get it funded.

Mitch has a visceral hatred of Trump. That's how out of touch he is from MAGA and 'America first'.

TDS.

If Dubya was the President, Turtle would have zero issues.

If she informs the agencies that intel from allies that is not supported by satellite imagery will not be briefed to the president or Congress, everything in foreign affairs changes.

So you are advocating getting rid of HUMIT and ELINT? How does one take a picture of documents on someone’s desk in a building?

May as well close up the shops: CIA, DIA, NSA, etc., since foreign affairs will be dictated by satellite imagery - satellites which have known obit times, allowing things to be hidden. She, by committing this utter stupidity, will truly sterilize intel - it will be DOA.

Unconfirmed humint is subjective. And manipulated. It comes from sources with agenda.

Bolton told Trump that Maduro had no support and millions would flood the streets of Caracas if only he imposed harsher sanctions.

He told him that because he wanted to believe a bunch of Venezuelan Swamp types who wanted to replace Maduro with themselves. Those same people probably told Bolton that hundreds of thousands did flood Caracas streets and if only he will send more money and sanctions, in that order, they would get it up to millions. The reporters on site? That’s not confirmation. They have agenda too.

So satellite imagery tells the tale. Does this mean you go against humint? You probably should more often than not because of the above, but that’s not the process. If it’s confirmed by imagery, then you use it. If it is not confirmed, you don’t go against it.

You ignore it.

You get case officers running assets and they walk in and tell people “my asset would not lie about this”. I have total confidence in him.

That’s mind reading. Telepathy. Telepathy is not humint.

Imagery, be it visual or radar or any of the spectrum sampled and recorded from orbit, is the ultimate confirmation.

And that’s why we must have her.

Vance spent all day yesterday making American history.

He went to work today as well.

BREAKING: Vice President J.D. Vance swears in Pete Hegseth as U.S. Secretary of Defense. It is official. (Eric Daugherty on X)
