In your perfect world, what would be on your 2nd term wish list? Big, small, earth changing, or not.
Me:
* Fair Tax - elimination of the IRS. Use the treasury to collect and distribute the consumption revenue.
* Elimination of the DOE and power returned not to states, but local school districts.
* County-wide school districts in ND or MT are fine, but not in FL or CA. Somehow need to be more localized.
* This is petty, but I'm just tired of it. Elimination of television ads for attorneys and medicine. Enough already.
Elimination of Daylight Savings Time
I think Trump’s administration is going to be fearless.
National ban on requiring concealed carry gun permits for any reason.
Mega MAGA rally in WA preferably in King county..need to break the D stranglehold on this place.
Ala General Augusto Pinochet.
💯.
Here’s hoping.
I think it will happen anyway, but EV mandates and yes incentives, Elon, need to vanish.
EV’s need to go back on the experimental/boutique burner. They’re costly and dangerous and should never be subsidized or mandated.
While you’re at it Elon, why don’t you design a 4 and 6 cylinder practical gasoline automobile for $20K that people will want to buy and fleets will need?
My wish list is as follows:
1. A tall ship for thee Naval academy. The USS United States.
2. An opulent yacht for the President The USS Potomac. Also armed to the teeth, a naval warship, manned by seamen and woman.
3. A new Branch of the Military—The Border Guard. The coast guard on land, with its own air force, tanks, and mission to guard the border—Border Patrol on steroids.
4.Finish the Crazy Horse Monument!
5. Build a large copy of the “Lady of Freedom” statue, the students put up in Peking—at the mouth of LA or San Francisco. Maybe on Angel Island. The torch of Freedom pointing towards China. Let them know—we have not forgotten those who lost their lives protesting for freedom.
Fedgov out of student loans.
Yes - and have the University or College co-sign loans that are privately given out. Womyn's Studies majors would disappear in a year.
That he stays alive. The rest will take care of itself.
With you on eliminating IRS and DOE.
Also:
Term limits for Congress.
Evict the UN.
Voter ID. Everywhere.
Space force throttle up!!! Let’s explore and colonize. If we’re going to fund something, make it as near optional as possible, and I trust human curiosity to opt for exploration.
Buy Greenland.
Allow politics in churches. (No taxation threats.)
Allow prayer in schools (I pray they will privatize.)
Allow American History in schools. And 3R’s.
More jails, and bring back the penalty of exile.
No more libs in law schools. (You did say “perfect world.”)
"Vanity - What's on your PDJT wish list?"
PDJT47 had mentioned amending the Constitution for term limits when he first announced that he was running for president for second time. Although I won't stop him from leading the states to ratify such an amendment ;^), his sights are aimed too low imo.
In other words, he seems to have his sights aimed on an efficiently run, but still unconstitutionally big federal government, instead of an efficiently run, constitutionally limited power federal government.
Since PDJT47 is open to amending the Constitution, he needs to destroy the very corrupt Democratic and RINO political party machines by leading the states to repeal the 16th (16A; direct taxes and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments, effectively seceding ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by doing so.
The fat lady sings.
Political party abuse of 16A, which is also weakening our 4th Amendment protections imo, is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for organized crime imo.
If Trump doesn't lead the states to get rid of these misguided amendments, then it wouldn't be surprising to see Kamala Harris in the Oval Office in a few generations.
"16th Amendment: The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived [emphasis added], without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
"4th Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
The congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as follows.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
Pelosi: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." (non-FR; 6 sec.)
