I remember the winter of 1977 January. Brutal cold, snow in EVERY State. It was used as proof we were entering THE COMING ICE AGE.
First case of pneumonia I ever got.

Usually out by 06:45, delayed this morning until 08:30. Winds 10 kts, gusts 20 from NNW to NNE. On St. Johns River SW of St. Augustine.
Bird bath had 1/4” ice. NIST-traceable max-min thermometer showed 31F inside screened front porch.
I just looked out front window. No white stuff coating the street. My rain collection bucket is full from yesterday, so there was good amount of precipitation. I collect rain water for house plants. Plants seem to thrive better with rain water instead of tap water.
