Carrie Underwood was supposed to be accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club, but that didn't happen. What went wrong. (vanity)

During Carrie Underwood's performance of "America the Beautiful" at the inauguration (a few minutes ago), she was supposed to be accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. However, there was a significant issue: the musical accompaniment did not play, leading her to perform the song a cappella instead.
This unexpected turn prompted her to invite the audience to sing along with her during the performance.
What happened?
Despite the initial plans for a choral accompaniment, Underwood managed to engage the crowd and complete her performance successfully under challenging circumstances.

A lot of professional singers can’t really sing (they dance and look pretty, mostly). Carrie Underwood can sing. The a capella seems to have been a last minute necessity, but she did great.

Next, “Having My Baby” by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (basso profundo)

Sadly, the Republicans still use gay dudes for the stuff they’re into, including Audio/Visual stuff. This was their ‘message’ to Trump.

She was amazing. It was an audio issue. The sound guy was probably sweating bullets.

I thought I heard some libtards shouting causing a ruckus which might have derailed the musicians.

She pulled it off just fine. Not a pitch pipe in sight.

Yep. She handled it beautifully.
My immediate question was, "Is this a protest from some in the military (like the DEI generals)?"

My guess is they did not have the floor space. Those are large groups, and the Rotunda space was packed.

If there was ever any doubt, she just showed the world she is the REAL deal. That can't be faked.

You’re probably correct. The Rotunda venue was a somewhat last-minute change.

Hahahahahaha I was watching the Steve Crowder broadcast, and he just said in an imitative Trump voice:
“Some sound technician is getting a Helicopter Ride over the Gulf of America!”

I thought Carrie Underwood was great!
Singing a cappella and inviting the crowd to join her was beautiful! She has an amazing voice and didn’t need the music.

Similarly, did FOX NEWS lose Harris Faulkner & panel’s audio during the hour preceding. There were long periods of silence from her & Domenich, and Mollie Hemingway when commentary was appropriate. then it returned, but to be absent again later.
Audio from the dais was not lost.

The audience joined in and most wouldn’t have known the other verses. Good decision for the one verse.
