That law they passed is a lot broader and now they have the thumbs up from the Supremes Congress is going to be emboldened

While I think you are right, be aware of just what the SCOTUS did. They did not rule on this to Free Speech’s detriment, they merely refused to rule. It does have the same effect as approving the legislation, it still leaves the possibility (nay, the PROBABILITY) of taking the legislation back up again in the future.
