Are they able to make a determination of the likely age of the cat when it died, and if not then is it possible that it was just baby cat when it died??? Wondering.

I would guess they tell by dentition. Cats, like humans, have deciduous teeth and then permanent ones.

I found a tiny starving kitten by our back door. Soaking wet and ribs showing. She now rules the house and 8 lbs. Don’t take crap from the chihuahuas either.
