Tubi will stream Super Bowl LIX in February for free on its platform using FOX’s feed of the game, the company announced.
Viewers will be able to watch the game on Feb. 9 when they sign up via email registration. There will be no Multichannel Video Programming Distributor authentication or credit card sign-up needed to be able to watch it. The FOX Sports pregame show will also be available for fans tuning in to watch the game. A second stream on Tubi will also include the Tubi Red Carpet event, hosted by Olivia Culpo at 3:30 p.m. ET, and the FOX Deportes Spanish language feed.
The Super Bowl's kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
The ability to have a free and easy way to watch the Super Bowl would try to cut into the illegal streams that are set up for the game. About 17 million people watched the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII victory over the San Francisco 49ers illegally last year. Additionally, those who have to work on game day will be able to watch from their mobile phones or tablets. About 28 million will be working on Super Bowl Sunday when the game kicks off at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Those who have cut cable out of their lives will also have a new avenue to watch the game as well without committing to another subscription. It’s unknown which two teams will be playing in the game, but it’s sure to draw a large audience as it does every year. The NFL said last year that 123.4 million viewers tuned in for the game across all platforms.

I’m not.
Or as Gutfeld said last night,
“...the Panamac Anal”
Pretty wild.
I assume TUBI will be able to show its own ads instead of those FOX broadcasts. Or at least have some sort of ability to show some subset of their own vs ADS.
I would not be surprised, assuming TUBI’s servers don’t crash from the load if Tubi puts up some huge numbers vs FOX actual broadcast watch.
I saw that, Lol
Thanks.
They’ve got some good shows, movies etc and it’s free.
I’m surprised the NFL hasn’t made the Super Bowl a pay event. It would be idiotic to do so, but the NFL meets that standard now.
Its hard to beat the resolution of watching on an OTA antenna.
Some FReepers have told me about it and I checked it out. Yes, they have a pretty good selection and a bunch of Westerns. Thanks.
They make way more from ads than they would from making it pay per view.
Fingers crossed 🦁👍
To funny.
I just started watching Ironsides on Prime.
Has a very late ‘60’s vibe.
Love the series intro music. Quincy Jones.👍
My two cents worth may not be appreciated, but Tubi is not free.
If there is an obligation to watch commercials with no opportunity to fast forward through them, then in essence it is not free.
I’ve had it with this free streaming. Our worst experience was some service where 50% of the streamed program was commercials.
We are very happy with Prime and the premium channels Roku offers.
The writing is really good and the theme plus the cue music.
I should rip the DVDs and make a personal soundtrack.
I prefer the Barbara Anderson era.
I saw Superbowl 1. On tv of course.
Tubi is going to go down during the superbowl...
I know.
But sometimes there’s a movie that I wouldn’t see in the theaters (because 95 percent are woke) that is being rented for like 15 bucks six months later but is free on TUBI!
Not often but sometimes...then I dont mind the commericals.
Or for old series like the Odd Couple that I can’t get anywhere else :)
Or if it’s the middle of the night and I cant sleep lol
I watch old Columbo episodes on Tubi. Works great, and Brave ad-blocker skips the ads.
I've found that ANY service you can get on your browser; the ad blocker works as I use uBlock Origin.
One then might want to get an HDMI switch or splitter and run that to your big screen.
Only drawbacks are you won't be able to use your TV's speakers nor control your picture with a remote, you'll have to use your mouse for controls.
I watch The Flintstones on Tubi
“You just have to put up with the incessant commercials during the movies.”
then it’s not free: the cost is consumption of your limited lifetime ... i’d rather pay a few dollars more, avoid the ads, and do stuff with the saved time that i really enjoy doing ...
