AI is getting scary. Some YouTuber used AI to create a Motown versions of the Beatle's Rubber Soul and Revolver, and it's much, much better than you might expect. You could listen to it over and over.
They use the same words, but they really revamp the music.
I would say some of it sounds more like Sam Cooke, or other soul music, than specifically Motown, but it stands on it's own.
How is this possible?
Not surprised. There was a similar AI generated album recently by the “AC/DC’s” where they put late 50s/early 60s music and vocals to AC/DC lyrics.
There’s a bunch of them, for Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, amongst others.
Makes me realize how incredible the Beatles music scores are.
Makes me realize how incredible the Beatles music scores are.
George Martin deserves a lot of credit for that.
UUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, NO!
That’s an ABOMINATION!
Ping
It’s terrible. It utterly misses the point and fails at matching the emotional context. Take “Good Day Sunshine,” which one could easily imagine as a Motown song, yet the AI blows the chorus from the start, doing it completely wrong and awkwardly. Barry Gordy could have made that a #1 in his sleep.
Yes he does!
P
Impressive that this can be done, but all the songs sounded like all the others.
(And, PLEASE don’t mess with the melody in “In My Life”.)
that’s scary...one could create an alternate universe and get the kids right from the cradle and the kids wouldn’t know any different...
It’s certainly black urban 60’s, but I’m not sure it’s Motown.
If I didn’t know it was Beatle music, I would think it was OK.
But covers are supposed to be an improvement. I don’t get that here.
But it is impressive in that it was AI generated.
Makes me cringe!
Yeah, you could make a movie and pretend the Beatles never existed, and claim the credit for yourself!
Wait, what?
