It probably doesn’t sound nice to say, but when watching a live press conference, I generally find those Signers an unwanted distraction from the speaker. I understand that they perform a valuable service to the deaf.
I can't imagine any deaf person not having a TV with closed captioning.......
How many deaf people are even watching?
