King David is famous for being a great king and a terrible father. In order to screw bathsheba —he had to have bathsheba’s husband killed. His child by bathsheba was solomon who was also a great king—but a man who took way too many wives. One of solomon’s children became the next king who was so weak and stupid that the Egyptians raided Jerusalem and removed everything of value from the temple. Then, the idiot king caused the break up of the kingdom into the northern kingdom Israel and southern Kingdom Judah.
