I see you understand snowfall in the South.
We’re ready to hunker down until it all melts. We’re noticeably in the foothills of the Appalachians. Out vehicles will not move until any slick stuff on the roads is gone. I just hope the power doesn’t go out. Messing with the generator is currently a pain.

Do like the ancestors. Don’t get/have one just
enjoy the current conditions bad or good. A few

before they thaw and throw the rest out.
few of the can goods and clear out the oldies.
Here in NH, generator electrical panels are a thing and we didn't realize it until we were house hunting and looking at real estate listings.
Many pictures on those listings show off the generator panel for hook up during a power outage. Some of them are downright impressive.

That’s what we’re doing here in east TN. We didn’t get a huge amount of snow, but enough that we aren’t going out until some melting happens. Probably no church tomorrow, depending on if the county brings in plows.
The generator has been reliable, and kicks in so smoothly that sometimes we don’t even know that the power is off. And the pantry is stocked. If we were to worry about anything, it would be possibly having to get out for medical reasons.
