El Dorado, the relative Rio Bravo , Rio Lobo and McClintock. Movies that don’t wear out after seeing them 5-1 times as I have.
El Dorado as the mirror image of Rio Bravo was a fun idea.
Switching the roles of the washed up guy, the heroic one and so on.
One way to have the best seat in the house.

Rio Bravo and El Dorado are essentially the same movie with different actors. The plot is almost identical in each. I prefer Rio Bravo because of Angie Dickinson. Man I thought she was sexy in that movie.

Yes, one of the women who seems to emanate beauty and femaleness from the screen.
She said once Frank Sinatra and the other Rat Pack members thought of having her as the first woman in the Pack.

I watch that movie every time it shows up. What an exciting life I have, right?
With all deference to Angie Dickinson and her legs...for me, Dean Martin stole every scene. And he sure could sing.

This may be my all-time favorite western. Loved it when I was a kid, and still love it to this day.
I recall some movie where Angie showed everything, and I mean everything in a shower scene.
If I’m not mistaken she was one of JFK’s flings.
