Probably mostly luck. However, these guys have enough money to have done preventative measures like private water reservoirs and stuff.

I’d be willing to bet they have a misting system hooked into their pool.
It wouldn’t be too expensive to setup and I’d call it mandatory for CA canyon living.

Both of those unfortunate souls have a real fire waiting for them after their deaths and it will not be quenched.
The closer they get to physical death, the less time afforded them to repent and ask for the saving of their souls.
They simply believe they will not have an eternal death.
The devil can buy and sell souls at will with willing folks.

The more I see just how ridiculously opulent these adult children’s homes are the less I care if they get destroyed.
I know as a Christian that is wrong, I just can’t gin up pity though for people who hate me and now want my sympathy that they can’t live the good life for a few months (let’s face it for most it will only be an inconvenience) off the backs of others.
Tired of the media treating them like royalty and somehow they warrant mope pity than the hard working common folk in the average neighborhood destroyed out there.

Good. They can take in a bunch of their neighbors who have been displaced.
HA! Sometimes I say the craziest things. 🤪

They were probably smart enough to use fire-resistant construction methods. No exposed wood. No open vents. Stucco over everything, including bottom of decks. Thick, well-insulated walls. No eaves (or minimal eaves). Might have installed emergency sprinklers.

Did they fire proof it by intelligently landscaping and keeping cumbustibles a safe distance away?

I did a little research on wildfire external fure suppression systems yesterday.
Apparently they’re around 10 to 15k......in an area that prone to wildfires I don’t know how you couldn’t make that investment......but if the system is dependent on city water supply......well 🤷
