A leading Vladimir Putin propagandist who urged the Kremlin to fire nuclear bombs at Ukraine is in a coma after suffering a "clinical death."

Tigran Keosayan, 59, sanctioned by Britain and other Western countries, had urged the Kremlin dictator to use nuclear bombs and vowed Russia will take full control of Ukraine.

His powerful wife Margarita Simonyan, 44, who heads the slavish RT international media empire and is also sanctioned, confirmed his condition after rumours swept Moscow. There was speculation that the satirical show host could have been the target of a Ukrainian military intelligence death squad but she insisted his condition was due to heart weakness.

Tigran Keosayan, a Russian director and host on the NTV network, is in a coma after experiencing clinical death, according to his wife, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the state propaganda outlet Russia Today.

“I didn’t want to say anything, but since reporters have already started calling, I’ll write it myself,” Simonyan shared on Telegram. “As many people know, he has had very serious heart problems for a long time,” she added.

The Telegram channel Baza reported that Keosayan was hospitalized in late December.

In 2022, Keosayan was added to the E.U. sanctions list for “promoting anti-Ukrainian propaganda in Russian media.”

Pro-Kremlin TV personality Tigran Keosayan was hospitalized in a coma after undergoing clinical death, his wife Margarita Simonyan, who heads the state-funded broadcaster RT, said Wednesday.

“My husband, Tigran Keosayan, survived clinical death and is in a coma,” Simonyan wrote in a late-night Telegram message, saying he has a “long-standing heart condition.”

Clinical death happens when a person’s heart stops pumping blood through the body and it is paired with a loss of breathing. Without immediate medical intervention, reversing the condition becomes impossible and legal death is declared.

Keosayan was hospitalized in late December in “highly critical” condition, according to Baza, a Telegram channel with purported links to Russian law enforcement. He suffered heart attacks in 2008 and 2010.
