Elected officials hate the people who elected them.
and yet the people keep voting for the same politicians that keep bending them over and forcing them to TAKE IT. sort of like complaining about the rape while letting the rapist do it over and over again...politically speaking of course. “elections have consequences and then everyone suffers the consequences” applies.
That is because, unfortunately, most people who go into politics are narcissistic sociopaths.
