Thanks for the links! I was going to say “I’ve never heard ‘The Oogum Boogum Song’” but I would have been wrong. I was 16 when it came out, so I was there, but I honestly don’t think I ever heard that title before. I wasn’t a huge fan of soul music at the time (that’s putting it mildly, too).

Ah, too bad. Part of the soundtrack of my teen years in the Los Angeles area where he had a huge following on the oldies but goodies circuit. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Wood, and rest in peace.
