Winter Storm Blair is headed to impact much of the central and eastern United States late Sunday.

Blizzard conditions are likely for some areas and ice storms and heavy snow are expected in others, The Weather Channel predicts.

Winter storm warnings have been issued for Washington, D.C., Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.

Travel conditions are expected to be dangerous and some icing could be heavy enough that it could knock out power for some.

Freezing rain is falling in parts of Kansas and Missouri, where icing is already an issue on some roads.

Although warned that the snow storm was approaching and it would be best to stay in DC, many representatives left town anyway. Now there may be a problem with certification of the election.

[Dons tin-foil hat]: Did the powers that be use their weather machine to bring a massive snow storm to DC for the 6th?

Winter storms are now named to help stoke fear of the climate change boogy man. A fearful population is easier to manipulate and control.

Here is the best site yet by a true scientist meteorologist, Joe Bastardi and the commercial forecasting service (subscription) at Weather Bell. Weatherbell.com. The best non-political non climate change fedgov weather people keep an eye on these professionals, and, they know they are correct as one could be. More than a month ago this weather pattern was described and published. The powers that be have to have known this.

Scroll to the bottom of the first page, and every Saturday Joe Bastardi makes well researched and free forecasts. The subscription people got these weeks ago- people like oil well drilling companies and farmers. It’s technical but not too- and especially accurate in past years on hurricanes and the oscillation of the Earth’s axis causality of where hurricanes make landfall and direct themselves in all the calculus.

Enjoy: https://www.weatherbell.com

Can you imagine that? A cold, snowy spell in Kansas in January.

Central coastal New Jersey Weather update -

It’s snowing.
Started out pretty fine.
It’s still a fine snow, but snowing pretty good.
Old man winter appears to be at least semi-serious about this one.

We’re naming storms in Winter now? Will we do the same for the coming thunderstorms this Summer?

This is getting stupid.

Still snowing real good - not just fine snow anymore either.
And I’ve just heard that the roads are getting slippery out there.
This mess is supposedly going to freeze up solid, later.
Be careful out there folks!

Creative. It actually ended up WORSE than they were saying, snow wise. And we probably got 3 inches after I took this pic with freezing rain. They even have a travel ban now: IMG-0497
