Correct.
It takes X number of units in a specific volume for energy to manifest as mass. This is a stability point... To reverse this, mass needs to be converted back to energy.
Einsteins equation works great for this. Very elegant.

my engineer buddy is into the vibrational mode theory.
Matter is just all vibrations of energy or something like that..

Get some unbalanced folks to believe it’s nothing but a simulation, and you’ll end up with mayhem and chaos.

The simple answer to this, effetively the Sophist's question was crushed by Rudolf Carnap in his book, Pseudoproblems in Philosophy. In short: Everything you experience of this life, including quantum entanglement, is within this life. There is no way to prove the existence of anything outside this life from within it. One should simply accept that this is an unanswerable question from within this life experience.
Why waste time on a problem one can prove is insoluble?

If it’s a simulation, it’s still our reality.
If it’s our reality, it can still be a simulation.
Who’s bogarting?

Sure, for an all powerful God the lives of mortal humans are like a computer game, but otherwise, the simulation hypothesis is just a philosophical game, not something we can take seriously.

Hmm...no I don’t think that’s at all true.
That guy didn’t think he was in a simulation...he thought he was killing real people on a real planet.
The people I know who beieve ins simulation are science and tech geeks...but the NICEST and MOST KIND guys.
There are people who believe in God that are MONSTERS.
Christians believe in a loving, forgiving but firm God.
muslims believe in a hateful, vindictive one.
Geeks believe in 1s and 0s :)

There are TONS of variable that make our universe and existence “Real”...all the way down to hydrogen bonding.
If hydrogen didn’t “bond” nothing that we know of would exist....as far as i know of.
We live in a rare, strange existence and all i can say is i thank god for it...warts and all.
We live in Gods simulation.

We keep finding reasons to believe that the universe around us is an example of the latest technology we ourselves have come up with. It seems to be the pattern throughout human history.
********
Right. Humans love to believe that humans are God.
