The base is conservative. The base is anti-globalist. The base is sick of our country being destroyed from within by BOTH parties for the past 25 years.

Why doesn’t the whole party support a conservative anti-globalist?

Why aren’t the members who don’t support Roy or Jordan or Massie himself to be Speaker the “unpatriotic” ones?

“Maybe it’s time to try to start resisting it harder than we have been?”

But... there’s a smart way to resist... and a stupid way to resist... and as they say, timing is everything.

Let’s not .... for a refreshing change... do it the ssdd, usual GOP stupid way with sucky timing. The speaker fight can be done later, AFTER Trump is solidly sworn into office. Anyone pushing it now, under this really bad timing way that could hand the speakership to the left, is either stuckonstupid or working for the Democrat side. JS...

I’ve seen it back in school and over the years at various workplaces.

They are one trick ponies who don’t know their limitations. They make terrible co-workers and apparently also terrible politicians.

The problem isn’t Johnson but our lack of votes for anyone better. Suppose Johnson fails, we end-up with nobody or someone to his left, and this leads to MAGA failure. Maybe more regulation or taxes. Will Massie compensate the victims of his grandstanding?

Lol.. if you have to ask (re: wanting Massie as Speaker)... then my explaining it to you would probably be a severe waste of my time and effort.

From my perspective, this is a prime example of managing for what you don’t want. It takes you no where except to another thing you don’t want.

I would much rather hear him discuss the bigger goals and understand you made your statement, now work on the bigger goal.

We need to keep our eyes on the ball.

A reminder to all of us, we are not privy to all the details of the decision. We still get a lot of our info from the media who have an agenda.

You mean like that time before the 2022 mid-terms when Linda Graham floated the idea of a nationwide abortion ban to throw the elections?

That’s exactly what I mean. The GOP is infested with enemies within... that are working with and for the Democrats, America’s enemy within. My only question is... why the hell are these vermin still “in” the GOP, being allowed to work against us.

Ilove how the conservative guy standing on principal, telling you what he thinks and where he draws the line...is the bad guy.

He’s the “bad guy” because he’s complaining about a problem without proposing a solution. And I have already demonstrated that he’s not “standing on principle” because he has already demonstrated in the past that he’s completely full of sh!t.

He’s the equivalent of an insolent moron who won’t pick the Super Bowl winner because the Boston Celtics aren’t in the NFL playoffs.

All of my adult life the Republicans have been saying “Now is not the time to fight. Now is the time to....expand our base, hold our lead, wait until after the next election, etc....”

Anyone who cares, can see where it has gotten us.

I truly don’t understand why we always start the negotiations from the point where the conservative wing of the party needs to moderate in order to accomplish things.

It’s always...”We can’t elect a conservative because there are too many moderates who won’t vote for him.”

Why don’t we start from the point of....”We can’t elect a moderate because there are too many conservatives who won’t vote for him.”?

As a hard-core fiscal Conservative, I get what you’re saying (and feeling?). But... there’s a right time and a wrong time to pick your battles. Now is NOT the right time for this one. Again, I won’t waste my time explaining to you the ‘why’. All you have to do is pay attention to events unfolding and look at things from a perspective of not, for a change, engaging in ‘throwing the baby out with the bathwater politics’.

Massie is one of the short-sighted idiots who voted against the partial repeal of Obamacare on the grounds it wasn’t a full repeal.

Massie is making a big mistake. He's making himself a figurative "dead man walking" even before the House is sworn in.

If he causes the House to go to Jeffries, or he embarrasses the Republican caucus, he's done.

He probably knows this already, and figures that since he's crossed the Rubicon he might as well play it out to the very end.

So what is Massie’s plan? Other than whine, bitch and complain?

We can only hope that Massie's plan includes a shower, shave and fresh set of clothes. He looks like he's been on a three-day drunken bender. He's gone over the ledge.

By that description, Massie sounds more like your typical, petulant leftie when they don’t get their way... and it’s always their way or the highway. To hell with him. Rather sooner than later. I think he knows exactly what he’s doing, why and who he’s really helping by doing it. And it sure as hell isn’t helping pro-America as founded Americans.
