Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) affirmed his decision to not support Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) in the Speaker’s race, even if his colleague Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) would land a top spot on the House Rules Committee.
Massie was asked by former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a new host on One America News Network, if he would vote for Johnson if Roy would become the chair of the influential panel.
“Oh no. You can pull all my fingernails out, you can shove bamboo up in them, you can start cutting off my fingers,” Massie responded late Thursday.
“I am not voting for Mike Johnson tomorrow, and you can take that to the bank,” he told his former colleague.

My daughter’s BFF and maid of honor (same person) lives in his district. He is not well loved there by either side, but as with most congresscritters there wasn’t anyone with enough mother’s milk of politics to primary him.

I would love to support principle. Right now, we have an enemy and the only thing that helps us is victory, and Massie's "principles" only get us Barack Hussein Jeffries and Stalinism, which has NO PRINCIPLES WHATSOEVER.
The globalists already tried that in 2024 and it didn't work. It seems the people in his district actually want someone who represents them and the not the globalists.

Obstinance for no benefit other than celebrating his obstinance. He would rather the House not be able to certify the election, Congress at a standstill until it does, the presidential appointment nominations process held up, and on and on, just to reward his obstinance.

BY FAR the most important fight we have now is the Primaries for 2026 and 2028. Trump and his Cabinet all know what they have to do, and they will be doing it. NOW is the time for US to start working on the Primaries. The list of targets is long, and there is a TON of work for us to do!!!

I don’t who (or what) the people in his district are or what they want... but what Massie is doing right now goes against the will of MOST patriotic Americans. That apparently doesn’t apply to you, though.
People can be competent in one area and sheer idiots in others.

The country that we live in with open borders, a approaching white minority, government funded abortions and sex changes, trannies in the military, 35 trillion in debt, endless foreign wars, COVID tyranny, etc...has ALL been presided over by the “pragmatic” Bush, Cheney, McCain, Romney, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnel, John Boehner, McCarthy, type of Republicans.
Maybe it’s time to try to start resisting it harder than we have been?

Well, I’d say the second most important fight (closing the border/national security being the first)... but yeah. Hell yeah.
