defective fuel pump could cause a loss of power, raising the risk of a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Tuesday.
"Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could lead to failure of the high pressure fuel pump," the NHTSA stated.
Drivers whose vehicles are affected by the faulty fuel pump may experience "extended crank while starting, a Check Engine Light (CEL), noise and reduced engine power," recall documents show.
The recall applies to the following truck models:
2020-2022 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600 2021-2022 Ford F-650, F-750

Yep, I can name too many kids that no longer want to work, they just want their parents to pay for everything and then inherit the rest, sooner rather than later :(
My 86 F150 caught fire in the Colt Manufacturing Plant parking lot when it was only a year old [fuel pump leak]. The fire dept was there in minutes and saved the truck, there was a auto parts store across the street where I got a new fuel pump and replaced it in the parking lot. I was able to drive it home that day.Simple fix, I doubt I could do that now.
“America’s success has made us soft”
Absolutely.....and wrapping kids in bubble wrap nowadays isn’t helping.
Getting knocked around as a kid is a valuable life lesson and the woke Godless in this country have taken that away.
Playing on potentially dangerous playground equipment taught me how to be careful and I rode my bike without a helmet and survived it......still don’t wear one actually.
Participation trophies......whoever thought that stupidity up needs a proper ass kicking.
Hard Times Ahead!?!
.
I’m looking to The Heavens——Amen!
Dummy’s don’t they know all they have to do is mount the gas tank on the top of cab of the truck.
Gravity at work huh Moe
Well, it sure works for the ROADKILL boys. Lol!
Alabama actually.
Yep it did
A long time ago I had to use a half-ton Chevy pickup for work one summer. The fuel pump gradually got worse, to the point that the truck would only do about 60 on a level highway and I had to back it up really steep roads to get the gravity assist. Finally got a new fuel pump in Wendover, UT, so the next morning I took it out on the salt flats to try it out.
Gotta do what ever works sometimes good deal.
Really....Interesting.
Toyota find the root cause yet?
Bad milling potentially could lead to debris trapped in the engine.
Thanks.
In aviation maintenance when investigating defects we would incorporate a tool called
“5 WHY”
Bad milling sounds like they are at about WHY #3 and have a couple to go......I’m sure Toyota will get their arms around it.
