A Russian 50 cal? I assume you brought it home? Don’t have any Russian 50’s in my books but there was a Remington and a Schuler 50 that they might have used. Neither of those would be anywhere near the power of a 50 BMG which would rip your shoulder off in an 18” barrel. Ivan was big on 30 cal stuff from the late 1800’s. Maybe they needed a caribou gun?
