The Fire guys managed to get her blood sugar tested (23) before the EMTs arrived. The EMTs took one look at her and had her on the gurney, strapped down, and out the door in about 20 seconds.
All is well. The ER was, as one of the nurses told me, slow but steady. When we got home I made her eat the soup for mid-rats. I made do with Christmas cookies. As if either was a punishment.
Pete, I'm glad you liked it. Despite the bulky posts, when I proof-read them they sound so shallow and over simplified. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm writing to for all y'all and not for me.
If there is to be bloodshed, and I hope there isn't, the first of it will likely be some protestors. The last of it will likely be the officious & corrupt CCP apparatchiks. If it goes full French Revolution, that will include their family members and hangers-on. Not all deaths will take place inside West Taiwan.
Every day that West Taiwan doesn't collapse is a gift from God to complete our re-industrialization and decoupling from the PRC. Whether it is today, next month, or next year, it won't be more than an inconvenience to the US. WE will be fine. For some countries, it will be really bad even if there is no armed conflict.
