I’m in the western end of the eastern time zone. According to Stellarium-web.org, 9:03 PM EST will be when first contact is made. It’s pretty cool how small mars looks compared to the moon through the scope.
Those times worked for me in NY. Didn’t think I’d get such a kick from watching a tiny white dot disappear then reappear behind the moon. Seen through a 16 x 52 monocular.
