Going back to standard time is the only sane thing to do.
During the shortest day time period, it already gets dark in the afternoon. Having to endure dimming sunlight while it is still afternoon and have it be a permanent “fix” is just depressing. This is Rubio’s little pet project, I stopped voting for him. Now I see Scott has picked up Rubio’s crusade. I won’t vote for him now either.
I’m sure that there are some good firefighters there, but their numbers are shrinking every day. Good ones leaving or retiring, DEI hires replacing them.

The things I’m hearing - trying to cut the fire department budget another $49 million after cutting it 17.5 million. Stopping flushing of fire hydrants. Hiring DEI.

I’m wondering ... if they get rid of the lesbian fire chief, would it be better to have a transgender instead? And if trans is better, would a man who’s become a woman be better qualified than a woman who’s become a man? That’s not very diversified so maybe one of the other letters would be better qualified to consider. It’s hard to see how these DEI types can make such decisions under such scrutiny.
