Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump:

We are the Party of COMMON SENSE, a primary reason that we WON, in a landslide, the magnificent and historic Presidential Election of 2024. ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, 312 ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTES, AND THE POPULAR VOTE BY MILLIONS OF VOTERS (Despite large scale voter fraud taking place in numerous states, including California, where votes are ridiculously still being counted, or under review!), ALL WON WITH EASE, CALM, & PROFESSIONALISM. Republicans are being praised for having run a “legendary” campaign! Democrats are being excoriated for their effort, having wasted 2.5 Billion Dollars, much of it unaccounted for, with some being used to illegally buy endorsements ($11,000,000 to Beyoncé, who never even sang a song, $2,000,000 to Oprah for doing next to nothing, and even $500,000 to Reverend AL, a professional con man and instigator, who agreed to “interview” their “star spangled” candidates, Kamala and Joe). We ran a flawless campaign, having spent FAR LESS, with lots of money left over. They ran a very expensive “sinking ship,” embracing DOJ & FBI WEAPONIZATION against their political opponent, ME. BUT IT DIDN’T WORK, IT WAS A DISASTER!!! LETS NOT BLOW THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY WHICH WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN. The American people need IMMEDIATE relief from all of the destructive policies of the last Administration. Speaker Mike Johnson is a good, hard working, religious man. He will do the right thing, and we will continue to WIN. Mike has my Complete & Total Endorsement. MAGA!!!

What a tacky way to interpret what Trump said.

I don’t understand why Mike Johnson allowed that criminally pork-loaded budget to go forward and questioned his intelligence, but Trump knows him better than I do.

I agree with you that we do not want some sort of internecine battle within the MAGA Party.

One thing the Democrats do well is conform. Maybe it's because they don't believe in anything but power, but the MAGAs need to stick together; it's vitally important.

That 1500+ "essay" that the Committee handed to Johnson ran out the clock. Mike never brought it to the floor for a vote.

When the 116 page bill with Trump's caveat was voted down, Schumer said they should go back to the 1500+ page bill cuz it was bipartisan. Well that didn't happen and voila...118 pages and passed in the nick of time.

Trump won the election by 230,000 votes - in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

If Kamala - the worst Democratic Nominee in living memory - had made a focused effort to peel away Green Party and Kennedy voters in those three states, and if Kamala had chosen Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as her Vice President, she would have won 270 EVs and the White House.

I think Newsome had a better chance to win. Didn’t want to offend that sorta black, female VP. She does know she was just a token...right??

Seems like Newsom wanted to wait until 2028. But he'll be 61 by then. No longer a young man.

“Can you tell me how you know more about Johnson than President Trump and who should be running the House?? Just one small clue.”

Well that’s an easy one. He used the “we control just one half of one third of the government” nonsense John Boehner line.

The House controls ALL funding. ALL OF IT! It doesn’t need to kowtow because the Senate or the president or both say Boo!

He’s a pantywaist. But the rest of the Republican caucus will only support a pantywaist.

As to who SHOULD control the House? A member with an above 80% Conservative Review Liberty score. But Bacon and Fitzpatrick and Newhouse (who Johnson helped save), etc. won’t vote for such a person.

Yes, agree, reluctantly. It is what it is.

Close, important House votes such as this is where the handful of stolen House seats in Kalifornia really matter.

“ When the Dems will start procedures to block the certification of a President in the absence of a House Speaker....”

Please post something, anything, from the Constitution that even SUGGESTS Congress has ANY power even CLOSE to “certification” - as if the State Legislatures sovereign power to appoint a President somehow requires approval from Congress.

No they don’t. The RINO caucus has at least 30 members.

You’re right, of course.

Interesting article on possibilities about the “tellers” not being available officially if the House lacks a confirmed Speaker, so Kamala (President of the US Senate) would be the one to choose whom to listen to reading the state by state results. Some say they are merely “town criers” and not really certifying anything.

“We have a very narrow GOP margin in the House,”

Herein lies the problem, if this ‘Porkulus’ bill had passed with all the dems and a bunch of RINOs have just guaranteed the rats will take over in 2026. People can argue whether or not Johnson is the definition of a uniparty coalition but it matters not if the GOPe gets tossed in the next election like they always do when they act like democrats.
