A stone box believed to have once held the bones of Jesus’ brother James is now on display in Atlanta, Georgia.
If authentic, “The James Ossuary” is the only archaeological find directly attributed to Jesus’ family, according to Pullman Yards, the event venue displaying the object.
The box is “considered the most significant item ever discovered from the time of Christ,” ...
Etched into the 2,000-year-old limestone relic are the words, “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus” in ancient Aramaic, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail....
“We’ve analyzed the likelihood of someone with this combination of names living in Jerusalem at the time. It’s extremely rare. The probability is overwhelming that this is the James from the New Testament,” Golan told the Christian Post.

Yes, I remember reading many moons ago that the “James ossuary” was a fake being promoted by an Israeli artifact dealer with a history of dealing in relics of dubious origins.
“The inscription, reading “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus” has been authenticated by two eminent paleographers (specialists in dating, interpreting and authenticating inscriptions): André Lemaire of the Sorbonne and Ada Yardeni of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 2003, however, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) appointed a committee of scholars to study the “brother of Jesus” inscription and report its findings. The committee concluded that the inscription was a forgery”.
Well, it buttressed what I had already believed. And no, the Shroud was not like a fraud found in a pizza box.
from your link, to go deeper, “ if Golan had been able to read the inscription, he would not have understood its significance. The inscription is commonly expressed as “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus.” But this is not what it says. It is in Aramaic and begins with the name “Ya‘akov.”...he had no idea of the possible significance of the inscription until André Lemaire saw it and explained it to him. In short, if he owned the ossuary since the mid-1970s without recognizing it for what it was, this makes it extremely unlikely that he forged the inscription... “

In addition, “ One of the government’s own experts found original ancient patina on the inscription—on the word “Jesus,” the very word that the government alleged was forged. “

and, Israel State of, tried to grab the artifact in 2012 “arguing that these items may well be of enormous historic, religious and archeological significance and therefore should not remain in private hands.”

If the ossary was an obvious fake, why would the State express any interest at all in the item?
Do we have more
adelphos ?
Why the reluctance to inform what it really says ... in Hebrew?
I have seen the HOLY GRAIL AND THE CROWN OF THORNS! PRAY6TO SEE THE SHROUD!
No actual proof, just probabilities. Kind of like looking at the small rock encased at the Edicule as being what’s left of the rock that encased Christ tomb. I get faith but prefer fact. I was pretty disappointed visiting the Temple Mount and all of the history in the surrounding areas. Beautiful no doubt, interesting but everything explained and described was followed by “probable, most likely, assumed”.
Either of you believe that such an artifact is significant in some way?
i seem to recall that this was debunked decades ago when it first came out. what has changed?
The Shroud is real.
