President-elect Trump’s choice for special envoy to Ukraine and Russia, retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, slammed the Russian military missile and drone attack on Christmas Day and said the U.S. is “more resolved than ever to bring peace to the region.”
“Christmas should be a time of peace, yet Ukraine was brutally attacked on Christmas Day,” Kellogg wrote Wednesday on social platform X. “Launching large-scale missile and drone attacks on the day of the Lord’s birth is wrong. The world is closely watching actions on both sides. The U.S. is more resolved than ever to bring peace to the region.”

The US is certainly as corrupt or more than Russia. The US operates the most criminal monetary system in the world. Complete fake money. Just print it endlessly with zero oversight of the US Central Bank. None. The US creates pandemics using bioweapons and then creates fake vaccines to fix the deadly effects of the pandemics. Except the “vaccines” kill more than the pandemics. The US topples governments all over the world world with its secret CIA and DOD and State Department assets, like blowing up the Nordstream pipeline that feeds vital energy to Europe. Or did before the US blew it up. US government agents attack political opponents internally, as in the J6 episode and even assist with assassinations of US Presidents, including the most recent attempt. And you say Russia is corrupt.
Sweden and Finland border Russia. They are independent nations. They could choose to stay somewhat neutral, they could align with NATO, or they could align with Russia. They apparently more comfortable choosing alignment with NATO. The reason isn’t the Deep State, but the Russians right across their border who invaded Ukraine and have threatened to invade other countries as well.
To be clear, who are you aligned with? NATO or Russia?

The US DOS’s Project Ukraine is dead.
Obozo was president and Hillary was SoS when this really started. They green lighted the theft of funds and the militias that were attacking western Ukrainian Russian portions of Ukraine. All so they could load up on $ under cover of war. Where did Libya’s gold reserves go along with all their weapons? Arab spring was cover for massive theft and bribes and plain old corruption.
Are we able to agree on this or not? Lives were traded at prices so low it’s really scary.
Putin and his demons have no cares about what day it is, how many casualties they have suffered, who they hurt on the other side, how much equipment they have lost, no concerns about anything except power.
The supposedly pro-Trump anti-Ukraine shills are starting to throw Trump's appointees under the bus. Which means, they are setting it up so they can intellectually (pardon the use of the world "intellectually" here) abandon Trump. They are so invested in MAGA-means-hating-Ukraine as a symbol and substitute for all the political problems here, treating a Russian win as a Democrat defeat, they have talked themselves into a bottomless pit they can't get out.
Trump's military picks have shown they are not pro/anti either Russia or Ukraine. They are for US interests, want the war to stop. They see Russia as the aggressor and want European nations to pay to defend their own interests instead of relying on the US to pay the bills for the wars they want fought.
Eventually the MAGA-means-Trump-loves-Russia crowd will have three choices when Trump follows through on his actual policies, not the one they want him to have. Pretend what is happening isn't happening. This is what they are trying to hold onto for now. It will not work for long after Trump is sworn into office. Settle down, admit they were wrong, and get behind Trump. Abandon Trump and say he sold out his own vision.
They will have no other options.

I remember how, back in the olden golden days of FR on the old Balkans threads, Orthodox Freepers wished Catholic and Protestant Freepers a merry Christmas on December 25, then the Catholics and Protestants wished their Orthodox brethren a happy Christmas on January 7.
I also remember how, back in the 1990s in former Yugoslavia, even during the conflicts there, normal Croats and Serbs reminisced about the good old days when Serbs would visit their Croat friends to join in their celebration of Christmas on December 25, and Croats would visit their Serb friends to celebrate Orthodox Christmas on January 7. Both seemed to genuinely regret the loss of those happy times when, as they said, they got to have “two Christmases”.
I don’t recall anyone on FR trying to push the Orthodox into switching to December 25 — although Catholics and Protestants sometimes half-jokingly said they were a bit jealous of the Orthodox because they got to shop the after-Christmas sales before their Christmas. It was all very friendly and fun. I miss those days.

Remember when we bombed Belgrade on Orthodox Easter of 1999? Easter being the holiest day in the Christian calendar? Same as the infamous Nazi bombing of Belgrade in 1941? Can you spell hypocrite, sir?
