Recommended Short Films for Christmas
December 24, 2024

Here are some of my favorite Christmas short films and TV episodes that I've seen over the years.
1. The 1971 TV animated version of A Christmas Carol.
2. Mr. Krueger's Christmas, a 1980 TV special starring Jimmy Stewart. Yes, it's produced by the Mormon Church, but it's very good.
3. Dark Shadows fans will enjoy this 2021 Zoom production of A Christmas Carol, starring surviviing members of the cast of TV's Dark Shadows.
4. Fans of the old Catholic TV show Insight might enjoy Christmas 2025.

Battle Ground. Battle of the bulge. 80 years ago right now we had people fighting in the Ardennes and all over the Pacific. Just saying. I understand the urge. Merry Christmas. 🙏

I recommend this 20 minute short from Warner Brothers in 1945 called "
Star in the Night".
It definitely has that Warner Brothers 1940s vibe, the golden age of Warner Brothers. High production values for a short film.

Was sad in “The Enemy Below” where the German Captain lost his Heinie.

Mr Magoo’s Christmas Carol, and a Charlie Brown Christmas, they are both great!

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure is my kid’s favorite, but we probably don’t have a lot of princess here at FR.

I can recommend The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a Dallas Jenkns film. The ending is very good….

I’m partial to the 1966 special “Dr. Seuss How The Grinch Stole Christmas” myself.

“Trailer for Die Hard”
On our cruise last week, Die Hard was shown on the big screen in the theater. Great movie.
