Redeeming The FBI By Forcing Them Out Of Their Intellectual Prison
American Thinker ^ | 22 Dec, 2024 | Jerold Levoritz

Christopher Wray, head of the FBI, is trying to make life difficult for the incoming Kash Patel, even though he is leaving. By promoting loyalists, he is pushing them into decision-making positions so that reforms can be stymied. Wray is apparently determined to wreak havoc by giving his successor headaches from day one. Mr. Patel should not take the bait!

Many decades ago, the Department (Board) of Education of the City of New York had a division called The Bureau of Child Guidance. It was the mental health unit that serviced all school children.

New psychologists on the Board had to immerse themselves in a year’s internship. They spent four days a week toiling in the schools, but on Fridays, they gathered from all over the city and continued their education. There were morning academic lectures and afternoons spent in group therapy sessions.

Thus, twenty percent of their productive time was given over to training. No coercion! No harangues! No re-education! Just academic pursuits. Patel might learn from this approach. Instead of facing down his opponents (unless they are incorrigible troublemakers), he should think about weekly mandatory group learning sessions. There’s even a good model for this.

Mr. Patel, if you have never attended a traditional Orthodox Jewish school (Yeshivah), spend a few hours of your precious time in such an institution. You will see the students hunched over ancient texts, reading them aloud to their study partner. Dyadic learning, where each student makes sure his partner has the same understanding as he does, is the method of choice in such institutions. Students can spend three months on a single page. A group of ‘learners’ gather in my synagogue every Saturday afternoon and have been engaged with a single tractate of the Talmud for the past fifteen years.

Something weird has also happened regarding the word “federal”. There are many YouTube videos of federal agents identifying themselves to citizens in a haughty and arrogant manner.

They pronounce “federal” like it’s something very special, a magical word that should cause instant obedience and mindless compliance.

You never see a deputy sheriff talk that way.

DEFINITLY don’t build them a massive new “campus”. Only build it if it is needed after a massive change in their criminal behaviors and firing of all those who harassed US Citizens in any way.

“You never see a deputy sheriff talk that way.”

The sheriff’s people are the good guys because they are hired by a sheriff that is elected by the people he is serving. If he wants to keep his job he’s got to keep his people on a leash.

Federal agents are hired by people appointed by politicians. That explains a whole lot right there.

Shut ‘em down. Give the absolutely necessary functions to the US Marshalls—and keep that out of the DoJ.

That won’t work. Most of these senior people have to be culled. The intelligence gathering side needs to be shutdown and all the agents need to be told to go out and catch bad guys. That is their mission. Track down criminals.

The organizational culture appears to be so bad and so deep that there is probably no redeeming it. Disband the FBI and transfer any necessary functions to a new agency, along with reliable current personnel.

Call me a Commie, but Mao Tse Tung had it right when, late in his reign, he announced “The Continuing Revolution.” He realized that government organizations grew old and stale and need to be abolished and recreated.

We need “Sunset” legislation for every federal agency, not just the FBI. Every one of them needs to have a statutory end date, so everyone knows they are going away in — pick a number of years — 5 or 10 years. At that time, anything they were doing that was successful can be recreated in a new agency.

Need more direct accountability from citizens board. Revise policies on raids, open discussion investigatory techniques efficacy and demand compliance with due process and 4th amendment. Severe penalties for agents that break rules, loss of pension to criminal prosecutions.
They also must take a remedial course in due process and the constitution and sign an oath and make a detailed video recorded statement that they will respect constitution and due process.

Most all of this started under the Clinton crime family, Janet Reno et al.

I pretty much agree with you. I was just being kind, so to speak, in that there would need to be a national coordinating function for federal crimes investigation in conjunction with any states laws broken and investigated by the 50 different “BI” state agencies.

AFAIC, the FBI was started by gangsters to solve a gangster problem, using gangster tactics (e.g., against bank robbers, etc.). They haven’t deviated from the gangster modality that I can see except they’ve grown more sophisticated and virulent since then. Comey, Strzok and Page (director, field, and legal functionality, BTW) showed us what the FBI really is. I abhor that agency

It wasn’t management level spooks who did all the home raiding, spying and arresting the last 10 yrs. It was neighborhood level thugs.

I think the intel and enforcement agencies need to be totally disbanded, the agencies reconstructed, and no one who has worked in he upper ranks or who has worked in the lower ranks longer than one year can be rehired to the new agencies. DHS has to be disbanded with no rebuild.

And I am looking at it solely from the FBI standpoint, not overall government in general, and that is because it can be directly manipulated and controlled by the DOJ and the political arm that controls it (the AG, selected by a President).

We had so many terms of NWO Globalist presidents it isn’t funny (GHWB, WJC, GWB, BHO and Biden), at least a generation and half’s worth. That’s enough time to install like minded globalists all the way down to much lower GS levels, actually, and many have grown up and promoted up under that ideology.

No redemption. Just kill it keeping only the lab functional. Its only proper purpose is coordinating states.

It was created by Pres ExecOrder. Kill it the same way.

I’m still on the fence as to whether Christoper Wray or Jeff Sessions was Trump’s works pick.

That's odd. In November ya said Wray was Trump’s worst pick, but now you're on the fence. Okie dokie.
