Christopher Wray, head of the FBI, is trying to make life difficult for the incoming Kash Patel, even though he is leaving. By promoting loyalists, he is pushing them into decision-making positions so that reforms can be stymied. Wray is apparently determined to wreak havoc by giving his successor headaches from day one. Mr. Patel should not take the bait!
Many decades ago, the Department (Board) of Education of the City of New York had a division called The Bureau of Child Guidance. It was the mental health unit that serviced all school children.
New psychologists on the Board had to immerse themselves in a year’s internship. They spent four days a week toiling in the schools, but on Fridays, they gathered from all over the city and continued their education. There were morning academic lectures and afternoons spent in group therapy sessions.
Thus, twenty percent of their productive time was given over to training. No coercion! No harangues! No re-education! Just academic pursuits. Patel might learn from this approach. Instead of facing down his opponents (unless they are incorrigible troublemakers), he should think about weekly mandatory group learning sessions. There’s even a good model for this.
Mr. Patel, if you have never attended a traditional Orthodox Jewish school (Yeshivah), spend a few hours of your precious time in such an institution. You will see the students hunched over ancient texts, reading them aloud to their study partner. Dyadic learning, where each student makes sure his partner has the same understanding as he does, is the method of choice in such institutions. Students can spend three months on a single page. A group of ‘learners’ gather in my synagogue every Saturday afternoon and have been engaged with a single tractate of the Talmud for the past fifteen years.

I think that much of the upper ranks have to go. There is no fixing them.
I think the whole thing has to go. Certainly anyone promoted in the last 8 years at least.
Nope. Just keep firing and dismantling the rancid, corrupt institution.
At LEAST that. Anybody above GS11 has to go, period. It’s either that or disband the whole damned thing.
.
Studying the Talmud is all well and good, but doesn’t address the problem of the bureaucratic mindset. Most all of the creatures of the FBI, (and I’m assuming all the rest of the self-important federal agencies) is “They can’t do that to US” or “We have six ways from Sunday to get back at them”. We saw what happened to Trump last time around, don’t expect any different now. They don’t need “re-educated”, they need to be chopped off at the knees.
Disagree, anyone over GS-13. GS-14 and above are promoted on how they respond to whatever the leadership wants; DEI, woke, whatever. GS-13 and below are actually promoted on the actual job dynamics.
Most DoD agencies are GS-13 heavy becuase those are the actual professionals who keep the department running. The 14s and above offer the strategic vision. Bongino got out as a 13 becuase they wouldn’t promote anyone who didin’t kiss their ‘ring’.
As an active duty member and a DoD Civilian (retired from both) - I can attest these “training” sessions are a waste of time - and they serve as “subtle” brainwashing sessions.
Clean house - it’s the only solution....
Anyone promoted in the last 4 years above field grade positions should be asked to resigned. If they don’t, reassign them to the Alaska field office.
The FBI no longer represents ANY of the founding principles of liberty and law created by the founders of America and enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. It has been completely taken over by the Leftist tyrants it has long-recruited from the worst of Ivy League universities.
The Gestapo of the Third Reich were amateurs compared to these jack-booted thugs.
They invaded the privacy of an ex-president they hate and rifled through the underwear drawer of his former first lady in their psycho “game” of intimidation. These are not people who should be trusted in law enforcement. They are people utterly without principle or conscience.
Shut down the FBI.
Those in the FBI don’t reduce or solve crimes. They are instigators of serious crimes against freedom-loving Americans. These people are now a sick and twisted tool of ruthless tyrants. It is a Mafia-equivalent, running loose inside the U.S. government.
Mr. Patel simply has to look at employee records - anyone promoted in the last six months is fired.
Do you “re-educate” cancer?
I agree.
At all.
No.
The FBI is hopelessly compromised. The only solution is to disperse them to the agencies of their expertise. And, fire all top management.
there are 35-40k employees and maybe 15k special agents. 2000 go to homeland security, 1000 to HUD, 1000 to the SBA, 1000 to Indian Affairs, etc. Staff to follow.
And, relocate everyone out of the DC corridor. Move Langley to Oklahoma.
Fire them all.
“I think that much of the upper ranks have to go. There is no fixing them.”
Agreed. The story suggests learning from NY City’s psychologists. I say learn from the communists. When they take over they permanently get rid the upper echelon and reeducate the lower.
I am in so way suggesting anyone gotten rid of commie fashion, but they need to be fired with prejudice. The lower ranks need the reeducation. They need to learn they are working for the American citizens and not the democrat party. They need to learn all about the Constitution and that their job is to enforce the laws on the books. The only people that should have to fear the FBI are criminals, not the average Joe that is a patriotic American.
Somewhere around Ruby Ridge or Richard Jewell they started going astray. With obama they were fully politicized and became special operatives for the democrat party. The politicized and weaponized agents need to be fired ASAP!
I’m still on the fence as to whether Christoper Wray or Jeff Sessions was Trump’s works pick.
The scales seem to be tipping in favor of Wray. It’s hard to imagine a more arrogant, smug, dishonest weasel running the FBI. And, yes, that even includes Comey who at least gave the appearance of being a straight arrow (even if he was not).
I think Sessions did a lot of damage as a result of being stupid & spineless, but there was probably no overt malice involved.
