Stephanopoulos did exactly as he was instructed, I’m sure. That’s why ABC brass isn’t firing him for this. This was failed maneuver in a war.
I believe the idea was for him to use the word “rape” repeatedly and get it out there in the public square. Let it torpedo Trump’s campaign. But Trump didn’t lose the election. If he had, they never would have had to settle because one of the legal cases would have seen him jailed.
Oh, well. They will have to try something else.
