With the recent influx of so-called asylum seekers , refugees , and foreigners in general it won’t be long before security will be in place . I’ve lived in Japan for 39 years and while it’s still a relatively low crime country it ain’t what it used to be when I first got here .
Japan has not been ‘enriched’ by the dregs of the 3rd world yet.
It’s a different culture and in some ways (politeness, respect, etc.) better.
That’s because JLM - Japanese Lives Matter.
And Japanese honor matters.
Delicately put, it’s due to their racial and cultural homogeneity.
A friend of mine - a black, American guy - taught English in Japan for a year. He told me that he hated it. The Japanese students would ignore his instructions, and would mock him at every turn.
So I suppose that Japan is an orderly society. But they are not overly fond of foreigners - even those who are there by invitation.
Meanwhile my local WalMart, not even located in a bad area, has glass over at least 1/3 of HBC items and 85% of socks, etc.
I was stationed at Chitose, near Sapporo in the 70’s.
A friend bought a new Sansui receiver in the box. He left it on the back seat of his Publica car, doors unlocked and went to a movie.
It was still there when we got out. We had not doubt that it would be left alone.

It's not that law enforcement can't catch these criminals, it's that they don't want to admit they can.
They have class
Just left Japan. Arrived at LAX,a filthy disgusting mess compared to anything in Tokyo, a metropolis of 40 million people.
Of course they are not perfect and have their own issues as a society.
But what an eye opener. Yeah, employees really can take pride in their work, greet others enthusiastically, and clean everything in their free time, rather than lay around and not know anything about what they’re being paid for.
Japan has some crime, but they say you can leave your wallet on the train in the morning and pick it up at the station later on.
Are Asians prejudiced against blacks? I didn’t see it, sure it’s true. But do you have any idea what American blacks think of Asians?
They hate them.
I lived in Japan 3 or so months at a time when deployed. Seldom if ever saw a cop but cause a scene and you were surrounded in minutes. Lesson learned but I loved Japan, clean and very respectful people..that was in the 80s but I liked it there.
If you get caught stealing an apple in Japan, you’ll spend the rest of your life lying on the floor in a dark 4x4 cell.
No wokey doke.
Males a difference.
If the Diversity Dopes find this out, they’ll take full advantage of it.
Johnny Somali will make them add tethers.
There is also a lack of “diversity.”
I never realized how spoiled we were, until we tried to play with toys in a US toy store while back in the States for a year. Wow! Did that store manager ever have some choice words for us!
