There used to be a lots of songs written about the seasons, weather and being outdoors but not so much any more. Maybe because we are inside so much.
But I do agree with you. Lots of attempt to stir up contempt for Christmas or any celebration which includes families getting together. I don't think all of it is deliberate. I think people just forget that families are made up of people who are occasionally annoying and exasperating but overall worth the time and effort we put into them and we get a lot more then we give.

A winter song that starts the playtime after Thanksgiving and runs until Christmas. Its a Christmas time song, try playing ‘Let it Snow’ in January-March in the north with doesn't cause snow shoveling rage. I live in the South, only time that song is acceptable is during Christmas time. Would cause massive confusion played after Dec. 25th.
