You're obviously not a hunter, let alone a bear hunter.
You hunt them with dogs, the dogs tree them and you go in and shoot the treed bear........Simple as that and hope the bear didn't take its toll on the dogs before it hit the tree.....

Our life kinda revolves around who goes FIRST each season in Wisconsin - Dog Hunters or Bait Sitters alternate each year so as to further confuse the bears, or to NOT shoot one another...or something, LOL! ;)
Our club culled 8 this season; 5 of which were youth hunters that Beau is bringing up in the sport. Not a record year by any means, but that leaves behind some bears to grow bigger for NEXT season. ;)
