Mairdie made herself perfectly clear - she didn’t think a treed bear should be shot. A couple of others on this thread have expressed similar.
But there are plenty of people here who are every bit as intolerant of differing ideas as any leftist is.
While I respect people’s decisions to not hunt, or to not hunt in a certain manner (traps, dogs, guns, etc.) - that line gets crossed when they are glad the person is killed or injured, or tells others they can’t hunt like that as long as it is legal. (Well, that brings up the whole thing about laws. In my state it is now illegal to use traps. Even for moles!)
Of course many of us also get a kick out of some environmental person that wants to become one with nature by feeding Grizzly bears. And then does end up “feeding” them.
Although I suppose that is more along the lines of “You went out to feed a grizzly? What did you THINK was going to happen?”
Same goes I suppose for the hunter standing under a treed bear that was getting shot.
Same could be said for me many times. I’m surprised I’m still alive with all my body parts intact. So far.
