Yep. As I said, it’s safe if you cook it properly. We have a huge group of bear hunters and I’ve never heard of any of them getting ill from bear meat. It’s also served up quite often at any Wild Game Feed you go to around here, along with Raccoon, Rabbit, Squirrel, Elk, Venison and Bobcat. I’ve even had Mountain Lion! And Snake and Gator. I’ll eat anything that doesn’t kill me first. ;)

Wisconsin black bears must be special. :)
