Wyoming Highway Patrol posted a photo on Instagram of a Ford Mustang decked out in multi-colored Christmas lightbulbs.
“As the holiday season approaches, we would like to remind you of a Wyoming statue [sic],” the post reads, “no person shall drive or move any vehicle or equipment upon any highway with a lamp or device theron capable of displaying a red or blue light visible from directly in front of center or thereof.”

I totally thought that Mustang was the Po-Po!
I saw this exact thing a couple of nights ago......at the very least it’s distracting there for I guess a safety hazard.
Bah Humbug
Buzzkills.
Seriously. Bunch of Karens.
Saw a couple of kids with this in my town a few weeks ago I thought it looked pretty darn cool. And no way can this be considered to be a cop car.
Assuming the lights aren’t crazy bright, this is more ridiculous behavior by the police. Would the cops be happier if the guy replaced all his red and blue lights with green ones?
Yes.
Not illegal (yet).
No one will look in their rear view mirror and think it's an emergency vehicle.
The statute is meant to prevent someone from mistaking civilian vehicles for police cars. I serously doubt anyone is going to mistake that for a police car.
I agree...It is a confusing distraction...and would make me nervous.

It’s a sculpture of limitations!
When are they going to start pulling over construction pickups with red and blue lights as well as sirens. They are always screaming up and down the road where I live. Going for donuts, I guess. Cop wannabes.

The cops have brighter lights than the one they’re complaining about.
We all have our opinions, and mine is likely going against the grain here. I do not blame the cop for pulling this vehicle over. It is a distraction. PERIOD. Not only is it a distraction, it’s a sign of an attention whore getting his fix.
But it’s ok to plaster the sides of roads with ugly billboards. And what about green, orange, yellow, clear, pink, purple, etc., all other colors? Way, back when there were things to distract a driver. “For a good shave...Burma Shave!”.
A few nights ago a driver was being very aggressive (tailgating, weaving in and out without signaling…). I ended up right behind him at a traffic light and waned to get his license but it had one of those dark covers so very hard to see and his license plate light was out. But his car was wrapped with Christmas lights not turned on. Hope he will get slew of tickets when he does turn them on.
