Canadian stumpage fees are lower than American stumpage fees because the Canadian logging companies have to survey, build maintain and decommission their logging roads, while the USFS builds and maintains the roads for logging in US national forests.
Nice try though. Seems that EVERY lawsuit regarding the forestry/lumber/softwood issue has been settled in favor of Canada, but one side keeps on screaming the canard "unfair!"
