I guess you’ll have to find some other sucker to slough off your Bud Light.

Yeah. That won’t play well for Canada.

All Trump is demanding is actual fair trade. Gee, wonder why that has some Canadian officials in a panic?

Doug Ford?

Wasn't he the Mayor of Toronto that was involved in a crack cocaine scandal a few years ago?

Why can’t the Canucks just control their border?

They have no problem giving US anal exams when we go into their country.

“It would turn off the lights to a million-and-a-half Americans”

There would be an angry demand for an “occupied” Canada.

Seeding, fomenting, and arming an insurrection up there of the rurals vs the urban rot would be easy and rewarding.

“Last year, Canada exported approximately 33.2 million megawatt hours of electricity to the US — the most of any country though it still accounted for less than 1% of total US energy consumption.”

LOL.. Go ahead and cut it.

And we already have enough good beer.

And by the way, the tariff just went yo 50%.

It will hurt the Canadian brewers more than USA.

Plywood and lunber are a bigger problem than electricity and beer.

Nothing wrong with talking about how he (Ford) will respond to Trump's tariff threats. That's how negotiations work.

But, he's an amateur and so is Trudeau.

Trump, on the other hand, is a master of the art of negotiation.

It's always good to remember that Trump's goal in negotiating is to reach a win-win point, where everyone is happy. Right now Trump feels like the U.S. isn't getting a fair shake and he wants to correct that.

And he will.

Ha—leave them stuck with Molson! Or, with Molson part of Coors now, take that away from them too?

Sell? Ok, if you shut off electricity what will you use to replace those dollars? Do you think we would still pay you?

I used to do a lot of camping and fishing in Quebec. Stunning scenery, awesome fishing. The last time I was there was for the 2005 Montreal Jazz Fest, had a great time. I didn’t notice any American beers being drunk, although they were available. Almost without exception the Canucks and foreigners were drinking either Labatt’s, Molson, or Moosehead. So, banning American beer would be just a small dent in American beer brewers profits. As far as cutting power, they may as well cut their noses also. The power companies would go broke. Ford is just another blowhard, have another drink, and go away.

“Canadian commies toughen up. And, of course, I blame Canada.”

It’s perfectly okay with what Canada is doing. No reason for us to drink Canadian beer. We can drink what Canada won’t import. Also, no need to worry about energy. We can reroute inputs into the grid with minimal fuss. Plus it would be on Whitmer and Hochul to explain that to their respective constituencies as to why they are using Canadian energy in the first place.

I’m sure Chris Wright as the new Department of Energy Secretary will be able to take care of the issue. “”As Secretary of Energy, Chris will be a key leader, driving innovation, cutting red tape, and ushering in a new ‘Golden Age of American Prosperity and Global Peace,’” Trump said in a statement.” (DJT 11/16/24 NPR)

He could get away with the beer - I believe he may pay some “consequences” if he arbitrarily cuts off power to American Citizens when Trump is in the WH..he isn’t a Head of State and, if he becomes a actual threat, he isn’t off limits....

Great plan! Your country spent a large amount of money to build a generator facility while has a long life. The money spent needs to be repaid, the employees need the job and there is no local market for what becomes excess electricity if you cut off the export. And longterm you force you current customer to build their own power source. Where does that leave you Canada?
