No doubt - but one main problem is they need to be ID’d before you can counter them.
Drones, especially military, have all kinds of bad materials and payloads, especially when they start birning. Dealing with a downed drone - even in remote areas - is problematic.
Can’t just shoot them down in residential areas.
Goes without saying.
“Dealing with a downed drone - even in remote areas - is problematic.”
Cut me a break.
Shoot them down.
Then debate about it.
No, you do not need to ID. Shoot one down and inspect the wreckage.
As to “pollution”, gimme a break. You’d rather they get crashed at the location THEY choose rather than YOUR choice? Shoot one down over water and send out the CGuard.
Oh please. Unless there’s a weapons payload, shooting down one of these drones shouldn’t be any more hazardous than shooting down a large RC model plane. If you’re worried about lithium batteries, you shouldn’t be—the sidewalks are positively littered with e-bikes and scooters everywhere you go.
Some of them look like planes because of the lights.
Have you somehow missed the evolution in warfare in the ongoing DS battlespace? You, on display:
MUCH more "problematic" is what's coming over the horizon since our government has demonstrated both an unwillingness and inability to control our airspace even over the most sensitive facilities...
...and today I'm merely concerned with one location in Landover, Md....
