President Joe Biden on Thursday commuted the sentences of two of the Chicago area’s most notorious fraudsters: former Dixon Comptroller Rita Crundwell, who embezzled nearly $54 million from the tiny town to fund a lavish lifestyle, and Eric Bloom, the onetime leader of a Northbrook management firm who defrauded investors of more than $665 million.
The decisions in the clemency petitions for Crundwell and Bloom were announced by the White House as part of a massive list of some 39 pardons and 1,499 commutations. Biden’s orders do not wipe out their felony convictions, but end their sentences immediately.
The White House said the commutations were for people released from prison and placed on home confinement during the coronavirus pandemic.

How about trespassers? No? Okay. PDJT will do that.
My first thought....I suspect all of these pardons will be fellow criminals, along with those who cashed in big - big enough to funnel a few bucks to The Big Guy. After all, the 50 year shakedown gig is coming to an end.....and I think Hunter’s art is about to plummet in value as well. I guess there’s always the speaking circuit lololo. Maybe he can conduct those on Zoom from the basement.
Steal $200 million, you get an honorary degree and cocktail parties in your honor.

At least 10% for the Big Guy.
The Rita Crundwell caper was big news in my neck of the woods. It’s not like she stole from a large corporation. She stole from a small town, which could ill-afford it.
Steal $2 million, you go to jail for 12 to 15.
Steal $200 million, you get an honorary degree and cocktail parties in your honor.
And no moron even noticed a missing $54 million from a small town’s coffers? No audits?
