Bullshit. You are a parent, and you are required to send your child to a school that says it can secretly push your child into sex changes and assist that effort? You tell the school not to do that. They flip you the finger and insist they will do it anyway.

If that had actually occurred here, I would agree, but since it did not happen the case had a difficult future and was by no means a slam dunk.
This issue was centered on a fine line between a policy and the breach of a Constitutional right.
Three of the court's justices found it a policy that was so egregious that the case deserved to be heard. A majority of the court however found that it was a policy not appropriate for the judiciary.
There certainly are political influences at work in this action by the court, and your comments re Barrett in #45 upthread are spot on. Body language often tells us more than the speaker's words.
