It is “Israels fault” in a serious way. Israel won a great victory over Irans proxy Hezbollah. As it happened the Assad regime depended heavily on Hezbollah for semi-reliable troops. It seems that a lot of these Hezbollahis left as things werent going so well back home. Leaving few if any who wanted to die for Assad.
Morale is vastly important.

I know that you think it is clever when you say something, get proven wrong, weasel/pivot to another point, get proven wrong again, accuse people of blood libel, weasel/pivot to another point, etc... but people who actually care about the truth are able to see through it and find it distasteful. I'm sure there are others who see that as a real valuable skill.
